Did you hear about our piñata?

They enjoyed working on these posters today. The students had to write about their holiday wishes and resolutions for 2018. We had to move our operation to the floor as we are working on a secret project that was drying on all the desks.

We had a fun time making Christmas cards today. Thanks so much to Krista Wells for letting me borrow her special yeti stamps and giving me a card tutorial to share with my class.

This little lady won a litre of popcorn . Her estimate of around 215 was perfect!

Our first curling session went off without a hitch. Thanks again to the two parents who came out to help.

As one student said, "when it snows, they goes."  Who can resist looking at one of the first snowfalls of the year? 

We had a great time this morning with our Hour of Code. Thank you Mr. Walter!

Today we used some old Science textbooks to find features of informational text.

We started some report writing this week. Apparently she thought there was something he should see in the book.

I kept an eye on the rain today and we managed to run out for a one kilometre Math walk in between the drops. We're off to a great start in our Measurement unit.

My class was sure looking good for the annual Remembrance Day assembly.

We had a great day!

We celebrated Diwali a little late. We had to take advantage of the great weather this week! My students made some spectacular rangolis.

This photo took some time to organize, but it was worth the effort. I asked for a silly pose in one photo, they did not disappoint.

We had a great day at The Rooms.

Today I invited Mr. Grant Fitzpatrick from the Canadian Mental Health Association to come and speak to my class. The class really enjoyed his tips on how to cope with anxiety.

Congratulations are extended to these two boys for participating in the latest cross country meet. It's hard to keep up with these two gentlemen.

We had a great day in Cupids. Many thanks to my two parent volunteers for spending the day with us and helping to keep everyone happy and safe.

We enjoyed a great presentation from Ryan Snoddon of CBC fame today. Thanks for taking time to fit us into your busy schedule, Ryan!

A little Math brain break with Go Noodle.

A little break from decimal numbers. 

Today Madame Quinton came to our class to talk about vermiculture. We had a great discussion about the things we are growing right in our own homes and gardens.

Well done girls! Hopefully I can snap a photo of the boys next time.
