Many thanks to Faiqa's parents for coming to teach the Grade 5's about Dental Health. We really appreciate your time and the goodie bags😄 Kids are always so proud when their parents come to visit.
We started participating in the 30x30 David Suzuki Outdoor Challenge yesterday. He is challenging Canadians to spend 30 minutes outside each day for 30 days. Yesterday we managed to get our 30 minutes outside but unfortunately today was pretty miserable. Hopefully we can have a picnic outside in the weeks to come. In the meantime, please make sure that your child comes to school with a hat and mittens to ensure they are ready for the cold Spring days we have around here. We spent a little time yesterday finding our decimal partner. Some students had the number written in words while others had it written in standard form. They liked it so much that they asked to play it a second time!
Today the class had the dreaded Grade 4 needle. As a reward for all the suffering, I decided that we would spend part of our afternoon making origami cats. One student in our class is from Japan so she was the teacher. I learned along with the rest of the class. We all had a great time!
