Decimal fun

We spent a little time yesterday finding our decimal partner. Some students had the number written in words while others had it written in standard form. They liked it so much that they asked to play it a second time!

David Suzuki Challenge

We started participating in the 30x30 David Suzuki Outdoor Challenge yesterday. He is challenging Canadians to spend 30 minutes outside each day for 30 days. Yesterday we managed to get our 30 minutes outside but unfortunately today was pretty miserable. Hopefully we can have a picnic outside in the weeks to come. In the meantime, please make sure that your child comes to school with a hat and mittens to ensure they are ready for the cold Spring days we have around here. Time keeps on ticking, ticking, ticking...

into the future. It seems that time just got away from us today. We were so busy preparing for our Earth Day Assembly tomorrow that introducing how to change fractions into decimals just didn't happen. We'll see what tomorrow brings. In any case, the Math homework that was orignally planned for tonight has been scraped. Get out and enjoy the nice weather guys!
