Story Jumper

Today the students went to the computer lab and began writing stories for their buddy readers.  You may see them working on the stories at home next week.  The students are learning how to write for a variety of audiences which is part of our Language Arts program.

    Storyjumper is one of my favorite sites to use in school. It provides a very interesting venue for students to create a story, married with its excellent user interface, and the fact that the students seem to find it so much fun!

Origami Delight

Today the class had the dreaded Grade 4 needle.  As a reward for all the suffering, I decided that we would spend part of our afternoon making origami cats.  One student in our class is from Japan so she was the teacher.  I learned along with the rest of the class.  We all had a great time!
