It’s time to document the kinds of online learning we have been doing during the pandemic. Here is a photo of our class with a special guest from Salmonier Nature Park. We learned a lot about threatened, at risk and endangered species.

Here we are practicing some collaborative drawing, a technique that I learned at The Rooms.

We have had two grandparents visit our class to help us understand what it was like when they were growing up. We have been focusing on learning about the transmission of culture.

We had a great time making valentines creations. The sweet treats were much appreciated and delicious!

The students had a great time playing board games during Literacy Week.

We had a great time dressing for Literacy Day.

We had a great airplane competition for Science a few weeks ago. Provincial Airline tuques were awarded to the winners.  We tested distance and length of time in the air.

These super students called CBC during the snowstorm and their awesome speaking skills were rewarded with hats!

Special congratulations are going out to this fine young person. Let us present to you our class champ in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition.

Congratulations are extended to our two finalists and our runner-up.

We could be heard all over the building. We belted out our two French Christmas carols! If only I could change the orientation of this photo! Sigh!

Our Space unit is officially over. We ended our unit with a walk around Kenny’s Pond to collect rocks that we could use to model constellations.

We used linking cubes to try to figure out how many blocks would be in 20 towers.

We had a great time walking around the pond and visiting the seniors at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home.
